چکیده
Background: We evaluated changes in both macular and peripapillary vascular parameters, by OCT angiography (OCTA), after uncomplicated cataract surgery, as well the influence of effective phacoemulsification time (EPT) cumulative dissipated energy (CDE). Methods: This is prospective study on 130 eyes 65 individuals who underwent unilateral phacoemulsification, with fellow data taken control group. collected grading, EPT CDE. Best corrected visual acuity (BCVA), superficial vessel density, deep foveal avascular zone (FAZ) parameters capillary density were measured at baseline, one week month following surgery. Results: When compared to there was a significant increase last follow up (from 42.9 ± 4.2 37.3 7.4 45.6 5.4 43.7 9.0%, p = 0.002 0.0001, respectively). Both zone’s area perimeter showed decrease preoperative value (p < 0.05). On other hand, 49.6 2.7 51.4 4.6%, 0.01), which returned values (49.3 4.0%, 0.95). found no differences when dividing cohort for severity. Moreover, effect CDE reported. Conclusions: while only experienced transient increase, suggesting an adaptative metabolic mechanism response increased light exposure
